299 euros is the price for the European launch of Toshiba Encore, first tablet with Intel Bay Trail chip and sample new medium format models that will arrive this fall with Windows 8.1.
A reasonable price for this tablet presented at the last IFA and aims to give battle to iPads and Android models.
The Toshiba Encore uses a 8-inch IPS multi-touch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels. Its base hardware is one of the new quad-core Atom manufactured in 22 nanometers, Intel’s commitment to finally break the monopoly of ARM.
The usual connectivity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD reader, GPS, dual camera, micro HDMI and microUSB 2.0, are some of the connectors on this tablet with Windows 8.1 operating system.
The Toshiba Encore will go on sale in Europe following the launch of the system (18 October) for 299 euros with SSD 32GB. The version with 64GB of storage will cost 349 euros. Prices content for this alternative x86 with Windows.
