MWC 2013 has begun in Barcelona and so all week we will have information related to the latest in mobile technology and what better to start with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, the new Koreans tablet has been done official after several weeks of rumors and that even an image leaked a few weeks ago, being almost equal in design to the Galaxy Note 2.
Inside you can find impressive specs (at least for its size) which highlight its Quad Core Exynos 4 (cortex A9) to 1.6GHz, 2GB RAM and a choice between 16 or 32GB internal storage in addition to increased power thanks to its microSD card slot.
Like the other Galaxy Note’s have a S-Pen to take advantage of all the new features at the touch offering this device, which has an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, which makes it very comfortable to wear and quite manageable for everyday functions.
If you wondered if it had support for 3G, if you have it, but not only that but it also has support for making calls, but there will be a version with Wi-Fi only, both running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version.
The rest of its features include an infrared emitter (to use as our TV remote control), 4,600mAh battery port of 3.5mm, 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and 1080p recording and a 1.3 megapixel front for video conferencing. For connection has Bluetooth 4.0, USB interface, A-GPS, GLONASS and support for HSPA+ 21, no LTE for now.
It is clear that the Note 8.0 is the answer of Samsung for the successful iPad mini from Apple, which has shown that this market segment can bring the juicy dividends for manufacturers and if, at least on paper may sound more impressive the Samsung’s tablet, although we will have to see how well it works.
