Nokia has officially introduced its new Lumia 928 via a statement. This is a “smartphone” with a 4.5 inch screen, dual core processor and has already announced its 8.7 megapixel camera and PureView technology.
The new handset from Nokia will be available from next May 16 in the United States with Verizon. The Finnish company dropped some of its most important characteristics, such as its 8.7 megapixel camera with PureView technology and improvements in audio capture and image stabilization when shooting video or takes a picture in motion.
The new Lumia has a 4.5 inch HD OLED screen with a resolution of 1280×768 and glass Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It include dual core Qualcomm processor at 1.5 GHz, with 1GB RAM and 32GB internal momory. Lumia 928 has a 2,000 mAh battery, and 8.7 megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics and PureView technology, like the previous high-end models, which can record HD video at 1080p.
It also features a 1.2 megapixel front camera allows recording video in HD at 720p. In terms of software, the new Lumia 928 features with Windows Phone 8 and also includes natively applications Nokia HERE Maps, HERE Drive+, HERE Transit and HERE City Lens as well as Nokia Music with Mix Radio. It also has application Vyclone, a new app for Windows Phone that allows people to co-create, sync and edit multiple views of a shared moment.
“Whether you are at a party, a concert or a sporting event with friends, the Nokia Lumia 928 excels at capturing high quality video, audio and photos without blurring the most action packed moments of life”, said Matt Rothschild, vice president of Nokia in North America.
The Nokia Lumia 928 also incorporates a wireless charging function. The new Nokia smartphone will go on sale next May 16 in white and black. So far has not specified which countries will be available and the specific dates.
