Unwired View is reporting the Nokia 6208c is officially Nokia’s first S40 touch screen handset heading to Asia, Middle East and North African markets. Although the link provided only points to a not found page we have some details on the features expected from this handset:
- 2.4 inch TFT display (touchscreen), with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels
- Quad band GSM connectivity with GPRS, EDGE
- 27MB of internal memory
- MicroSD card support
- 3.2MP camera with autofocus and flash
- 130 grams
- 109.8 x 49.3 x 14.7 millimeters.
…though it hasn’t been specified whether it will have a capacitive or a resistive one at launch. But judging from the presence of a stylus in its retail package, I think it’s safe to say this will have resistive screen that’s tailored for use with handwriting in mind.
From the design it’s clear to see it won’t be coming to Europe or North America, the aesthetics are aimed at the Asian markets more than anything IMO.
