The tendency to the obsolescence is leaving us things and behaviors that, frankly, don’t make sense. Among the benefits of Android 4.4 KitKat is the fact of being optimized for smartphones with 512 MB RAM, a great news that extends the life of those ancient or more modest terminals but which, unfortunately, has just become something anecdotal since this update only hits on many occasions to current terminals.

Who is to blame? The manufacturers, without doubt, because they are the ones who decide not officially release updates for its oldest terminals. What the reasons? Lack of power does not, of course, but rather the fact of “encourage” users to buy a new smartphone.

In this sense one of the last affected was the Galaxy Nexus, once Google top-end specifications and nailed to a Galaxy SII. This means that at the level of hardware has a dual-core CPU at 1.2 GHz and 1 GB RAM.

Well the fact is that despite being a terminal still very capable today, but not officially receive from the hands of the new Google Android 4.4 KitKat.

A bad news that, luckily, has the background, since the people of XDA-Developers not halted and have already cooked a ROM of the chocolate-flavored operating system of Google for the Galaxy Nexus.

Before you throw to install bear in mind one thing, is that it is still not yet 100%, so there are some things to be polished.
