I received the following image via e-mail from WOMWorldNokia - I didn't know anything about it. So I posted it on my posterous seeing others on Twitter had also received it.
Later on in the day, @WeAreMaemo tweeted a link to http://www.maemoproject.com/ - which when clicked resulted in the following flash video being displayed on loop. Which resulted in THIS post.
After a little chat with @bvlad and @nokiaaddict it was revealed by @bvlad that it had something to do with a competition to win a Nokia N900.
Congrats to @Bvlad Vaibhav from TheSymbianBlog on having the patience to find out how to solve the mystery. The funny thing is I was there in the studio, see below! How strange!
So can we expect some developments with the Nokia N900 release or some sort of Maemo developments? One can only wait and see.

It was actually Vaibhav Sharma, of thesymbianblog.com fame, on his new blog, maemocentral.com, who cracked it.
I just find stuff fast and share it. ;)
Anyway, I expect the video to be launched on Thursday (as mentioned by someone working on the project as PR), and maybe more details will come then.
There still is that odd issue of the Terms PDF that clearly states Oct 20th at 12:00pm GMT as the end of the competition. I suppose it was a draft, we'll see in due course, I'm sure.

I suspect it's the delay of the N900 which is the reason the competition ends on the 20th Oct? Perhaps it runs until the 20th Nov? We shall hopefully find out more in the coming days.
