G1 RC9 Update - Loses Latitude In The Process

The RC9 update for the HTC G1 is now available, whilst this may not be quite Cupcake but an update is and update is and update - except when it loses some functionality and isn't as much of an update. GeekYouUp has installed the RC9 update and has found that Google Latitude is gone; his conundrum - he can't obtain it from Google themselves as according to them he already has the latest version. Is this intentional or is it just a slight error on someone's part?

Whilst the lack of Latitude is alarming and quite ironic there are also some other improvements and additions:

• Market - notifies when updates are available
• Sim Toolkit - an additional Operator feature (which won't enhance your life in anyway IMO)
