The T-Mobile G1 doesn't have multi-touch control like the iPhone does, this is mainly because it's not enabled in the Android OS, but the key thing here is the screen on the G1 is multi-touch capable so you can only guess what happens next.
Multi-touch has been enabled on the device albeit with setbacks which hinder and limit the full usage of multi-touch. This is not yet available for end users and is mostly aimed at developers familiar with understand the source code involved.
