Ustream.TV Prepping Mobile Client

Ustream looks to be preparing their own live video streaming client for mobiles. Video below shows how efficient the streaming is comparing it to Qik, another service which offers live video streaming using your mobile handset.



There are also two others that offer the same service Flixwagon and Kyte, both of which also have their own clients for many platforms.

• The Ustream application does have chat support.
• If your handset has dual cameras (rear and front) and you press the 5 key on the numberpad, you can switch between the two.

Ustream claims to have cut the delay between live recording and streaming significantly, from around 30 seconds (typically Qik) to somewhere near 6 seconds, although this isn't confirmed yet by any 3rd party sources. Let's hope the client is released soon so we can all do our own testing.
